My budget-friendly break at the parking lot of the shopping spree in Burnaby 🛍️.

Hello everyone!

Right now, as I am writing this post, I am currently sitting in my car at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, waiting while my two girls are browsing inside the mall. This place is a huge shopping centre close to Vancouver!

We drove from our hometown in Abbotsford to get here. It was a long drive, but it is worth it because they are having a great time! I decided to stay and wait in the car because I have two reasons for not going inside;

1. 🙂 First, the busy mall is too much for me, and it is tiring! 
2. Second, and most importantly, I need to stick to my budget! When I walk into stores and see so many things that I want to buy, staying out here in the car is my smart move to stick to the budget.

I love this quiet time in the parking lot; it's wonderful! As I look out the window, I can see the tall buildings surrounding Metrotown. They look so big next to my car. It's a pleasing view to my eyes, and it feels very peaceful out here.It is nice to just sit, listen to some music, and look at the sky. It is a good break for me. My girls are having fun inside, and I am saving money. It's a perfect win-win situation!

My secret for surviving long trips is simple: I prioritize comfort and avoid impulse buys within the mall's tempting shops. Plus, it teaches my daughters to stay within their budget when shopping. It is important to be smart with your finances. I really recommend finding a good, quiet spot like this one!

When my girls are finished shopping here, then we are all heading to Langley for our second destination: my daughter's hockey practice. We will be home around 8:00 p.m. But for now, I will enjoy this last bit of quiet time while having a nap.
